This week, Billie and Parker are attending a local community dance. Her great-aunts and his grandfather have conspired to have Billie and Parker seated next to one another.
"Would you like to dance?" Parker's voice was low, sending delicious shivers over her.
"I don't really... well, maybe not just now." That eyebrow of his lifted slightly, like he didn't believe her.
"Your foot seems to think otherwise," Parker said, humor vibrating through his words.
Billie glanced under the table - oh, God, she'd been tapping her foot against Parker, not the table leg like she'd thought.
