Set Up: I'm skipping ahead a bit from the last excerpt. Alex has taken her to his home, and is trying to decide what to do with her: should he keep her prisoner or let her go? (He really doesn't trust witches.) Mattie doesn't know she is a witch yet.
My Six (these are in Alex's POV):
She went to the window and leaned out, as if gauging the distance to the earth below. Could she fly? He couldn't let her escape his questions so easily, so Alex rose and followed her.
The sun was setting, and the moon's silvery silhouette shone just over the horizon.
He leaned over her until his lips nearly touched her ear. "Are you drawing strength from the moon?"

I'm very curious to read more. Such an intriguing six! :)
Is she? How beautiful! Lovely imagery!
I LIKE it, especially the part about the moon - very intriguing six!
Ooh, sexy! I love his wariness of her, but yet he can't help but be drawn to her
She no doubt thinks he's nuts since she doesn't know she's a witch. Beautifully written
Thanks, Jessica! :)
Aw, thanks, Gemma! Mattie still doesn't realize she is a witch, so no... but you probably couldn't convince Alex of that. :)
Aw, thanks, Veronica! I'm glad you liked it. :)
Yes! Yay! I'm glad that came through. Thanks, Angela!:)
Sue, your comment made me laugh... b/c her next line is: "You're insane." :)
Ooh interesting snippet!
Holy crap, hot! I'm drawing strength from him whispering into her ear. Guhhh. So good! :D
Oh, I like the setup. And his question. And that she doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.
She might be and doesn't even know it. Oh, this is so good. Fabulous 6.
Fun! I like that she doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.
Does he know that she doesn't know? Because it seems like he thinks he knows she knows. You know? :)
Really an iteresting set up. Great job!
I agree. Very interesting setup. I'm really curious to know her response and then his when he discovers she doesn't know. Great six.
I love the hints of suspicion and humor in his question. Great six, Lorraine.
Love, love, love his use of proximity. Makes for lonely tension in a scene. So fun to read! Great six. Can't wait to read more.
You know how to keep your reader reading!
I have a character in a similar postion so I understand
Ooh. I love his comment about the moon. She'll interpret those words differently than he intended, that's for sure.
The picture it evokes is just lovely. Well done!
So lovely and human. Thanks, my friend.
I take it she is drawing strength from the moon. Guess she might use it to escape? Fun, intriguing six!
Ooo, fantastic 6! Love the imagery :)
This is wonderful -- I love the way he gets close to ask his question. :) And you're so right about the supportive group of writers. It's why I love Six Sentence Sunday so much!
I like the end of this!
Nice visuals, and a surprise question to end it all. But if he'd wondered if she could fly, wouldn't he be a bit more anxious about her escaping when she's leaning out an open window?

He definitely is not going to let her get away. lovely six, thank u for sharing.
Great six, Lorraine. I can hardly wait for him to accuse her of what she doesn't know she is. :)
Ooooo. Quite sensual at the end there.
This is SO good! I love him wondering if she can fly, and that whispered question at the end is awesome!
