Goals for 2013

I review my goals several times a year - typically at the beginning of January, the end of June, the beginning of September, and on my birthday.  (Does that sound obsessive?)

So, here it is, the beginning of January with a whole new year ahead, and I'm making goals and plans.

2013 is going to be a
year to celebrate!
My 2013 goals are:
  1. Finish editing my completed works in progress,
  2. Finish writing my outlined works in progress,
  3. Pursue publishing for three stories (I haven't decided whether to go indie, traditional or epub yet),
  4. Continue with my critique group,
  5. Present two workshops to my writing group, ARWA (Starting with my workshop on January 12th - Promotion: It's not a four letter word!),
  6. Attend Calgary's local writing conference, When Words Collide,
  7. Take two online classes (Starting with the Book Trailer class at Savvy Authors!),
  8. Experiment with a newsletter,
  9. Participate in a new Blog Hop,
  10. Continue with my Twitter account,
  11. Continue with my Facebook page, and
  12. Continue to blog.
Do you have goals for 2013?

Happy New Year, Lorraine! Wishing you much success with your goals. I'd like to publish another novel in 2013 (whether epub or indie) and I really NEED to be much more active on Facebook. I'm so neglectful of my page, it's shameful.

And, of course, write, Write, WRITE! :)

Happy New Year to you too, Mae! Thank you for the good wishes! Good luck with your goal of publishing another novel!

(My Facebook page is neglected too... time to dust it off I think...)

I agree that writing up a plan is essential. It is too easy to drift about. Having a plan helps to keep you from drifting too much.

I think that's why I revisit my plan through out the year. I need to remind myself to focus on my goals.
